We are honoured to have been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Promoting Opportunity through Social Mobility!
The award recognises the success of our #apprenticeship programme in training the next generation of #engineers, increasing #diversity within the industry, and the work of the Metalcraft Community Fund in supporting local communities in Cambridgeshire and Cumbria.
We are proud that our apprenticeship scheme has launched the careers of over 30 young people since it was re-energised in 2010, helping young people develop the skills they need to build rewarding careers in the #engineering industry, as well as tackling an impending skills shortage by reducing the average age of our workforce from 54 to 44.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are known globally as a marker of quality and outstanding performance so being recognised in this way is a real fillip for everyone associated with the company.
A huge thank you to everyone who supports us to deliver these essential programmes.
